CONSTRUCTION: The conductors run parallel and are slightly twisted. This proven technique provides effective shielding against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference.
A) Conductors: Silver-plated 99.9999% OFC conductors offer exceptional purity and improved conductivity. They are less likely to break or deteriorate over time. Silver is an excellent conductor and, combined with high-purity copper, delivers impressive electrical performance.
B) Dielectric: The Teflon FEP dielectric (insulation) is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. FEP has excellent resistance to stress cracking and a low coefficient of friction, making it an exceptional dielectric. FEP is the preferred choice for both temperature safety and electrical insulation.
C) Insert: A cotton insert provides the cable with internal strength and reduces microphonics. Cotton also has excellent dielectric properties.
D) Sheath: A Mylar layer secures the construction and provides a protective shield before the application of a flexible PVC jacket. The addition of Mylar and cotton creates a buffer with the PVC to maintain the exceptional dielectric properties.
E) Shielding: A grounded OFC shield ensures maximum RFI suppression and prevents common-mode interference from affecting the live and neutral conductors.
F) Jacket: PVC is used as the outer jacket to ensure a high degree of flexibility and mechanical strength.
