CONSTRUCTION: The conductors run parallel and are slightly twisted. This established technique has proven to be an effective shield against high-frequency and electromagnetic interference.
A) Conductors: Silver-plated 99.9999% oxygen-free and high-purity copper conductors offer excellent conductivity. They are less prone to becoming brittle or brittle over time (compared to solid-core cables). Silver is an excellent conductor and, in combination with high-purity copper, offers impressive electrical properties.
B) Dielectric: A dielectric made of Teflon FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) is chemically inert and has a very low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. FEP has very high resistance to stress cracking and a low coefficient of friction, which, due to its heat resistance as well as its good electrical insulation, makes it an ideal material for dielectrics.
C) Filler: A cotton filler gives the cable more internal stability and reduces microphony effects. Cotton also has excellent dielectric properties.
D) Inner jacket: A paper jacket separates the inner conductors from the flexible PVC outer jacket. The combination of paper, cotton, and PVC further improves the dielectric properties.
E) Outer jacket: With an outer jacket made of PVC, the cable is not only particularly flexible but also mechanically robust.
PLUGS: The Premier cable is fitted with IsoTeks audiophile plugs made of 24-karat gold-plated 90% copper and 10% zinc.
