Revox Master Tape, OSCAR PETERSON - ANOTHER DAY

With “Another Day,” Oscar Peterson presents acoustic trio jazz full of swing, joy of playing, and melodic elegance. Together with George Mraz on double bass and Ray Price on drums, the pianist combines virtuosic runs with sensitive ballads and blues-inflected passages. The recording was made in 1970 at the MPS studio in Villingen.

The repertoire ranges from “Blues for Martha” and “Greensleeves” to jazz standards such as “All the Things You Are” and “It Never Entered My Mind.” Peterson gives the familiar melodies a personal touch through rhythmic accents and harmonic variations. The bass and drums create space for his piano playing and actively shape the musical dialogue.

The Revox master tape edition includes eight tracks and is mastered analog for tape playback. An album for lovers of classic jazz trios, combining technical brilliance with musical ease.
