Revox Master Tape, LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN - SYMPHONY NO. 6 "PASTORAL"

With his Symphony No. 6 in F Major op. 68, Ludwig van Beethoven pays tribute to nature and life in the countryside. The “Pastoral” combines flowing melodies, dancing lightness and powerful orchestral passages to create a musical landscape.

The five movements lead from the joyful arrival in the countryside through a peaceful scene by a brook to a boisterous country festival. A gathering thunderstorm breaks the idyll before the final shepherd’s song conveys peace and gratitude. It is precisely this alternation between quiet contemplation and dramatic movement that defines the character of the work.

The Revox Master Tape edition presents the complete symphony in a version mastered analog for tape. An album for lovers of symphonic music that combines Beethoven’s connection to nature with his expressive orchestral language.
